Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada
The Heart and Stroke Foundation is a national voluntary non-profit organization
whose mission is to further the study, prevention and reduction of disability
and death from heart disease and stroke through research, education and the
promotion of healthy lifestyles. In recent years, the Foundation has also
taken a leadership role in advocating for heart healthy public policy.
Ontario Physiotherapy Association
The
College of Physiotherapists of Ontario is a not-for-profit organization
dedicated to regulating the practice of physiotherapists in the public
interest. As the largest physiotherapy regulatory body in Canada, the College
has been helping to ensure that patients receive safe, effective physiotherapy
care since 1955.
Canadian Physiotherapy Association
CPA is the national professional association representing almost 10,000
members distributed throughout all provinces and territories.
CPA's mission is to provide leadership and direction to the physiotherapy
profession, foster excellence in practice, education and research, and promote
high standards of health in Canada.
Canadian Bobath Instructors Association
The Canadian Bobath Instructors Association (CBIA) liaises
with international certified Bobath tutors and plans, organizes and assists
in the running of courses in Canada.
International Bobath Instructor Training Association
IBITA is the international organisation of Instructors,
teaching the Bobath Concept applied to the assessment and treatment of adults
with neurological conditions.
Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association
The Neuro-Developmental
Treatment Association (NDTA)
is a non-profit professional organization of Physical Therapists, Occupational
Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists who are devoted to promoting
the theory and principles of the Neuro-Developmental Treatment approach.
